Too many homes?
I had a client ask me “Have we looked at too many homes?”
Purchasing a home is a very stressful, chaotic time in a person’s life. It is a HUGE responsibility and should not be done hastily. When searching for the perfect home, it’s good to look at multiple locations and styles of home. What you thought you wanted and what you actually purchase once you see them first hand, may surprise you.
After seeing a few properties, it will become evident whether you are leaning towards a colonial, ranch, bi-level, cape cod, single detached or half double, etc. Once you have that established, it’s time to narrow down the search. If bi-levels are not your favorite or do not please both parties (if more than one are involved), they need to be thrown out of the mix. There’s no sense in wasting valuable time and effort looking at homes that ultimately will not make you happy. Walking out of a property, knowing it is not the one for you is very disappointing. Eliminating these styles of homes from your search allows you to avoid that possibility and achieve your goal sooner.
Don’t be afraid to ask your real estate professional for advice. I, personally, can not and will not make the decision for you. Although I can give you my opinion, based on notes that I’ve taken from our previous showings.
Happy house hunting folks!
Congratulations Sam & Esther
Congratulations Sam & Esther on the purchase of your new home in PA! I know this will be an adjustment for everyone involved. I hope the kids like their new school and wish you lots of happiness! Thank you so very much for your dedication and cooperation through this transaction.
Website updates
I designed my own website and have been updating it as I go. I have all my services listed, along with new listings, the mls so clients can search for homes as well, my contact information of course, and a cool section named “new to the area?”
I incorporated popular attractions in the Lehigh Valley so people that are new to the area have a feel and know what’s available to them. It’s of course, a small taste of what this area offers, but a start. Feel free to suggest places to add. Here is the link, my website.
