YPN in Harrisburg

I posted the other day about going to Harrisburg for our first meeting of YPN, the Young Professionals Network.

It was a success! I am very proud to be a part of this fantastic group.

YPN, is just what it says… Young Professionals, that help one another by giving encouragement and the tools to succeed. Having a group that is willing to hear you speak your mind and help in figuring out how to solve challenges in our industry is phenomenal.

The average age of a real estate agent is 52. I became licensed when I was 19 and was quite intimidated. I was young, inexperienced, and had little to nothing in common with my coworkers. Everyone around me was far older and had years of experience under their belt. Some of the agents in my office had been in the business longer than I had walked the Earth.

What are some of the benefits of being a member? Invitations to NAR sponsored YPN events. These are a great way to meet others that are a part of the group from around the world. The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS offers many free resources to help better our business. There are many leadership opportunities, but most agents do not know how to begin the process. YPN is able to point you in the right direction, so that you can get involved at a local, state, and national level. Visit the YPN Lounge, where 20 of our members began a blog and contribute to it on a regular basis.

Thank you everyone for a successful meeting. See you in June!
